    Hi

I've got this machine about 2 years ago and am very happy with it. However, I neglected to make a set of recovery discs, and recently the HDD got completely damaged. I managed to get my data off it, but lost the OS partition and also the Recovery Partition got damaged.

I've managed to buy a set of installation discs & drivers for this machine over the net, and done the installation together withnthe supplied drivers. However, it still only has the basic functions, and none of the ASUS Tools that came with it originally. And also, many of the blue functions on the keys are working. This is terrible....

Is there anyone that perhaps have made such a set of recovery discs for this particular model that I can download somewhere, or perhaps an image of the Recovery Partition that I can download?

    Thank you!
    Chris

If you're lucky, someone may have the recovery image uploaded to a file hosting site, but these are difficult to come by. Did you already try the drivers from Asus' support page for your model?

I have tried the ASUS site, thx. Unfortunately with little success - only getting the basics up & running. Thank you for your advice!

You are welcome to let us know what isn't working and describe what sort of problems you're running into, and hopefully the community can help with getting you back up and running. Otherwise, I wish you luck in finding a recovery image floating around out there! Worst case scenario: contact Asus about the recovery.
