Asus says you can also get a 120Hz WQHD panel. I guess Best Buy is just selling the 144hz FHD. At least for now.

At that screen size it probably isn’t that big of a deal. I’d still like to see 1080p phased out as it’s just ancient at this point. You can only push so much fps before it doesn’t give any real benefit so we should be seeing higher res screens as a standard.

There's more to sticking with 1080p than just frame rates, battery life being the biggest point.

    Baaaaah. :p

1440p shouldn’t be to much of a hit compared to 4K. But being able to hit that magic 8 hour mark would be great for being able to use a laptop all day unplugged for sure.

I'm not sure how well the 3060 will handle 1440p. It's only going to be 60 watts and I've seen the 3070 at 80+ watts get 41fps in Cyberpunk at 1440p and 58fps at 1080p on the 15". Go to 13:58 in the video

It really depends on your settings and what you play. Personally if I was getting something as small as the G14 it would be used as something that CAN game but had another purpose first. Plus since the screen is so small you could turn off a lot of the anti aliasing and just use the higher resolution to make the picture look nice. Unless I’m on a desktop I rarely go above high settings. Still looks great and runs much smoother.

    Wow thats a good point.
I also wonder if thats the reason why the lowly RTX 2060 MQ builds aren't that much cheaper than the RTX 3060s..? thoughts? I know the main the benefit of the RTX 30's over the 20's whether its notebook or desktop is the boost in ray tracing performance.
