This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi, I have been having probs for a while whith a bogus site saying Its from Microsoft and that I have a security problem and they want to charge me $49.00 to fix it. I saw it was a spam site and had to restore my PC a couple of times. Well yesterday it did it again, I went to restore and now my PC will do nothing, even F8 does nothing and all I have is a small flashing cursor an a Black screen when I power on. I use MS Essentials and it has seemed to work for a while.HELP please. :mad:
