After i installed vista im not longer able to adjust the screen brightness with the brightness buttons. my bios is version 211. strangely though, if my computer sleep modes itself due to inactivity and i turn it back on, the brightness buttons sometimes work. how do i make them always work?

This is due to a problem with the current bios at the Asus website. If you use BIOS v211 with the latest nvidia drivers, you'll lose control over screen brightness. If you use the nvidia drivers on the Asus website you will not have this problem. However, it seems that, if you use the unoficial BIOS v213 (you can google for it) this problem disappears. Beware, that this is not an official BIOS, so I don't know if it causes any problem. Search the forum for this subject.
