    Howdy folks,

What's the best way to get audio out to my Westinghouse 37" LCD from my Asus A8Js? I have video output through the DVI port, but as for audio is concerned is the best way to hook it up to the monitor through the headphone jack?

    Thanks in advance.

Are you using the LCD speakers or external speakers?

Preferably the television speakers. The Westinghouse 37" w3 has so many video/audio inputs it's a bit daunting.

    Thanks again.

If you want to use the speakers of your TV, use a Y-Audio cable, which is a 3.5mm male which goes into your laptop headphone jack. The other end of the cable is split into 2, which are composite, males, which go into your TV, and your sound will now work. Nice TV! :D

you can get a digital spdif receiver and connect via the spdif port. can get 5.1 channel out of it. i think they now sell speakers that support direct connect to spdif.
