Hi, if anyone of you knows about these problems please help me out.

I installed Ubuntu a few days ago and really like almost everything apart from:

    Sound
    - Sound is working. But it is often accompanied by high pitch sounds, which is very headaching  .
    - Changing the volume and there will be no sound at all

    Function keys:
    - I cannot disable my touchpad via Fn F9, which is quite inconvenient.
    - Brightness cannot be adjusted at all via Fn F5&6
    - Sound volume can be adjusted but it will disappear as described below.

    Is there any suggestion?

Clearly driver issues. Probably someone with experience with Ubuntu / linux in general should help you...
