So i have had my Asus g1s for a few months now. Runs great and everything.
I've run across a few problems as of late though.

    1) Windows updater seems to think i haven't installed the updates when i have. (offers to install update every time i shut down) which i thought it was a new update until i checked and found that it was downloading the same one multiple times.

Heres some various edited screenshots to show what i mean...

    2) I have microsoft office 2000 installed on my computer. The problem is that every time i start up the computer, it pops up with a screen asking me if i want to set up microsoft outlook. I have tried setting it with every available option, but it still comes with startup. (I even went to blocking it upon startup and that didn't do anygood either)
I know uninstalling would fix the problem, however that would get rid of the programs i need for college. (ie word etc)

I'll attach a screenshot of this next time i restart my computer

    3) It seems as though startup itself is going really slow. Ranging from 2-5minutes before everything is done loading. I'm guessing this is because of the nearly 70 processes it is running. Also the with AVG, the updates are instant when you start. I can attach a screenshot of my task manager if that helps for this...

That is all for now i think, thanks in advance for your time and help.
If anything is unclear let me know so i can clarify. Didn't get a chance to proofread or anything. Got some homework to do at this point.

It seems as though the first link is more xp oriented. Correct me if i am wrong...
If so, is there one similar for vista in general

    Thanks btw
