I know many of you had been buying 8GB for your notebooks and most ended up with 667MHZ 8GB because of price but wanted to share a few things.

I found this if anyone wants now:

    http://www.pcnation.com/web/details.asp?affid=305&item=U95549

They have a single 4gb stick for $255 each which is not much more than many of you paid for the slower memory.

but I am also in the works with a major manufacture to get them to make kits cheaper as well... I am a reseller for most memory places and for example crucial has the 8gb kits for just about $600 reseller price even but the place I am working with does not currently sell 8gb kits but will start soon and told me they will beat the prices on all the others by a good amount and be at least lower timmings than the others.

Anyway just wanted to put that out so if anyone wanted to get some memory now that this was a decent price, but if you can wait I will have more details when I get them.

The turn around time I was given was a few weeks at least. Again it will be 800Mhz with lifetime warrranty. I know a lot of you said the slower 667Mhz had better times, but actually you will gain more speed due to the high Mhz jump instead of a 1-2 drops in the CAS times.

Part of the issue on price is because the demand is so low, and this is for a few reasons. #1 was not until recent that average consumer can get a notebook that will run that much memory, and #2 most people have no need for that much.

But demand will go up and price WILL go down, and being I am getting another big manufacture in the market that makes it better for us all as this also drives prices. :)
