I see it being a valid option for somebody that uses the c90s for one of the things its really good at, a workstation.

Like if somebody got it just for video editing, sound editing, or something similar and they do not plan to play games. The slower card would allow them to get an already cheap system even cheaper and increase there battery life and lower the heat in the system.

So I see it as a valid option. I honestly have not played a game on my c90 in over a month, everything I have done lately is all cpu powered so that card would have been fine for me. Still I like the option to play a game :p

Yeah... It's a shame Asus doesn't offer workstation versions of those ATI HD3650 chips, a C90S (or M50Sa for that matter) with a proper (current generation, instead of the current trend of selling the cheapest left over crap as expensive ws cards (raise your hand NVidia!)) workstation card would probably take a lot of market share away from Lenovo, HP and Dell (all way too conservative, not keeping up with the market and just cashing out because there is no real competition).

Better read that forum again then (I'm posting there now and then as Stefan_VTi)...

Radeon to FireGL is still possible, but not working great and definetly not dependable enough to be worth much as a workstation machine.
