What happens if you try custom resolutions in the nvidia control panel and keep raising the frequency up by 5hz each time, where does it stop working?

I have one too, which connectivity are you using? DP or mDP? Have you tried another DP port on the monitor?

Is 60Hz an available option in the display settings, and if so, what happens when you select it?

I'm using the cable that the monitor came with. It is a minidisplayport to displayport. I tried both ports but only one port is able to work. It says the maximum possible resolution is 3140 x 2160 60hz, but it says current is 3140 x 2160 30hz. I have been unable to get it above 30 hz.

Try a different monitor, see what happens.
If the other monitor is 1080P, then try the same resolution on P2715Q.

I have another monitor that is 1080p, but it only has a connection through hdmi not displayport. Does that even matter though?

Sorry for a very late intrusion was the issue solved cuz I'm stuck with the same issue of G750jx 4k not giving 60hz output has been bugging me with LG27UD88D monitor which I recently purchased.
It to be noted that the same monitor works well at 4k 60hz with my DELL Latitude workstation. Kindly do help out if you guys know any solution for this anomaly.
