I cannot stop 3D from flickering, my G51JX came with Nvidia Geforce GTS 360M driver version 8.17.11.9682. I updated it to 8.17.12.6099 but it made no difference. I set the refresh rates at 120,110,100, the lower I set it the worse it became.
I removed all Nvidia software with Guru driver remover, cleaned the reg with Glary and reinstalled all, still the same. Anyone any ideas as to what to try next

Have you gone into the nVidia 3D controller software and adjusted the output for ambient light? I know when I tried to set it up in a room with heavy overhead lighting it caused my screen to flicker a lot. Once I adjusted for the lighting I didn't have a problem. It seems that 3D set ups, be it computer or TV are effected very poorly by any kind of lighting in the room.

Thank you, but, I tried that, lights, NO lights, and it made no difference.
Anyway today my SSD arrives and I am going to do a clean install of Win 7 Ultimate, and then I will install from the Asus support disc as per the post by Rexrzer 727.
Then we will see again what happens.

That is probably a good idea. If you still have screen flicker after that I would contact your reseller to either have them swap the machine for you or to assist you with the RMA. Once you have the OS installed let us know the outcome.

Just finished a clean install of Win 7-64 bit Ultimate on my new SSD and all is OK.
NO flicker and super fast, best upgrade I have ever done.

Im glad to hear that everything worked out for you.

Have you had a chance to try out the 3D yet? What do you think?

It takes a little getting used to, specially the crosshair being suspended between you and the end of the barrel. Tried out COD MW2, Battlefield BC2, Avatar and FarCry2.
Had a problem with freezing, so I uninstalled all the Creative Labs software and am using just Realtek, sounds better and NO freezing
