I have a Z62F and I would like to get a second battery. Are ASUS batteries interchangeable? Are there other model batteries that will work for the Z62F?

Does anyone know if there is a high capacity battery available for the Z62F?

    Thanks.

Would the 6 and 9 cell replacement batteries at Geared2Play be suitable?

I'd be wary of trying batteries from other Asus models... Someone posted here the other day who had problems with a replacement battery for his v6j, turns out it was for the v6v (5200mAh vs. 4800mAh). A confused charging circuit was the result.

Agreed, I am not interested using a battery from a different model unless the batterys are standard.

That's what I am wondering--are ASUS batterys standard? In other words, are they the same for several models? Specifically, what models would be interchangable with the Z62F?

Not many model's battery can be interchangable so far, we find out only Z33A, S5A, W5A(W5F) or A2H, A2K, Z80K and Z81K or M6 series, z70v can be interchangable or Z63A and W3V.
An Asus laptop battery compatibility table can be shown here.

Thanks. That is the information I was looking for.

By the way, when will you add the Z62F to the database?

Might be later. except cpu's benchmark's difference, their video performance is not a big gap because of the same Intel video graphic card.
