EDIT: mystery grill all cleared thanks!

Also I noticed that when I have the CPU in turbo extreme mode and game a little then quit out and go to cpuid it shows the laptop at ~1700 mhz with a multiplier of 6 instead of 9.5 or 10 (cant remeber). If I have it in normal mode and game then check it it stays at ~2.5ghz with the correct multiplier. I am wondering is this the CPU throttling itself because its getting too hot or is it just a problem with the sensors? I didn't notice any stuttering in my games which I think would happen if it is throttling itself. While gaming the air coming out of the unit is so hot you cook with it!

The circular grill on the bottom is purely a decorative feature just like the G50V.

Since it was determined that it was purely decorative and that it should remain covered in order to maintain the proper airflow.. I speculated, wondered if it would be possible to put a little subwoofer to improve the bass ... just kind of thinking out loud??? hummmmm

There's barely enough space between the grill and the fan..... I doubt you can fit a subwoofer in there :(
The only place I could think of is in one of the HDD compartments

Your probably right.. but it would of given it the extra bass its missing (like most notebooks) It a fantastic computer but it's got to have something.
