4-4-4-12 DDR2 RAM
System mainboard info:
Super Pi scores:
3dMark05
CrystalMark
Impressions:
Keyboard is ok. Smaller than a normal standard keyboard on most notebooks. I normally use a ThinkPad regulr size keyboard which is 10 times better for me.
Not bad for surfing the internet. Forget about CPU or 3d intensive applications. The LED display looks fantastic. I wish my ThinkPAd had one as good. Image quality is great for viewing HD movies on Vimeo.com or Netflix. Digital photography images look great as well.
This netbook offers some of the top hardware and features at the time of posting this. I love the size and portability of it. Runs on XP which works well. I think adding at least 2GB of RAM would make this netbook perform better.
I bought this netbook for somebody else. I have checked it and it works well.
Final Conclusion
This netbook is way to slow for my needs. It offers alot but just lacks power to push everything.
I plan on buying a netbook for myself but not until the new Intel 32nm CPUs are in along with 40nm discrete GPUS and W7 OS.

Why would you run 3DMark on a netbook? It just doesn't make sense. It evaluated gaming power and no netbook will ever be able to game
-
And who knows, maybe he wants to play Doom 1 or something...;P -
The netbooks can play some games. I think netbooks will someday have discrete gpus or gpu power built into the CPU.
It's a nice netbook. Like all other current netbooks way to weak for my taste.
The benchmarks serve for comparison of other netbooks and as a reference for individuals who are concerned about the performance ability of this netbook. -
Now that you mention it Doom 1 on the go is a fantastic idea... Might look into it lol

I think people tend to forget about the purpose of a netbook and confuse it with a laptop.
Netbooks are mainly used to browse the internet, do some word processing, and watch some multimedia. They are especially nice for traveling, hence the compact feature and light weight. Don't expect your netbook to do gaming or run resource intensive programs. That's what a laptop is for.
I think the 1005HA has battery problems. I bought a 1005HA and the netbook would not power on without the AC adapter connected, even though in windows the battery said it had 83% left. The battery meter always stayed at 83% and never moved. The netbook would not charge with the AC adapter plugged in. I returned it for an exchange and im hoping for a netbook that works properly. -
I really think that with the new Intel 32nm CPU technology and 40nm GPU technology will soon find its way into netbooks which will greatly increase the performance of netbooks. When that happens I will make my move to get a netbook. -
