You will see a noticeable decrease in boot time if you upgrade your hard drive to a SSD.

Isn't using a flash based drive risky considering it is flash storage which can evaporate any time..

I have been having some weird problem with my 1000he.

If I try to log out after a session and try to log back on in my other administrator account or even the logged out account, my password field doesn't work (no cursor line there to enter password).

I made a separate non-password account for someone and I have to log into that and then log off before I can enter my password protected accounts. Is it some bios problem or issues with Win XP? I keep the system updated with all the updates.

I am thinking of sending it to ASUS so has anyone done that (like through customer support ticket like hp?) and what is their experience with it?

Well, it has been nearly a year since i've had my baby. (late July would make it a yr.) and i'm just checking in here on the Asus sub-forum probably for the first time to say i'm still loving her like it's the first day I got her. ;) :p :D

Thanks guys (and you know who you are) for recommending this netbook!

shriek11 you really want to test out Asus's customer service huh. :p I personally have never dealt with them but I would say that your issues seem more OS/driver related than anything else. I don't know if Asus could really do anything to fix that except for possibly a BIOS update.
