I'm going to start this owners lounge because the old EEE PC lounge is too old.

I currently own the Asus 1005PE, that just came out few weeks ago with the new Pine-Trail Intel CPU. So far, I'm loving this little netbook. It has great keyboard and the battery life is ridiculous. I also have the UL-50VT so you can say I'm a loyal Asus owner.

Anyone else here has the same netbook? I don't care if it's a different series. Lets start this thread and add some info and maybe hacks to the community.

I have t same netbook, the 1005PE, and its awesome. Howeer I am not really a fan of the new keyboard. I think the keyoard is poorly made beause right now i am typing with my netook the way i normally type on my desktop keyboard, as well as my old sony laptop, not to mention a friends asus gaming laptop with the same keboard layout.

The problem, as you can see with the spelling, is that the keyboard has a sensor direcly in the middle of the keys, and so pressing the keys on the corner will not work, unless you delibrately press the corner with a little more force. Unfortunately, when i press y keys, i don't pay attention as to where my fingers will hit the keys. Don't you notice this problem? I do not know how to fix it, or if i have been unlucky and got a faulty loose keyboard. My friends keyboard (same layout) but his laptop is an asus Repulic Of Gamers laptop, an his keys are actually firm (when i press the corner, it will register the signal).

Let me know what you think, or if anyone else has a problem with the keyboard, please speak up :)
