    Hey everyone,

I have a VX7SX-DH71 and I'm hoping that I'm not the only one with this computer out there so if you have one or don't have one and have questions about it, this can be a place to ask. I'm pretty experienced in the notebook field and have taken apart/put back together many laptops and repaired many laptops for friends. I mostly meddle in hardware so don't ask me about programming or stuff like that.

Since there aren't any owner's lounges for this model yet, I am mostly wondering what temps people are getting on these under load and at idle both on the GPU and CPU. I understand that the G53 is very similar, but this has the guts of the G74SX and consequently temps will be higher. I'd also like to get feedback on the level of durability others are getting in regards to the leather palmrest and the lid. I've taken mine apart completely since that's pretty much what you have to do to replace the RAM. I have owned a G74SX-XC1 so if anyone would like to know my thoughts on the good and bad of either of these computers, let me know.

Again, you do not need to be an owner of this computer to inquire about it here.

Well I was about to buy one but since I didnt manage to find any valuable information in time, the guy sold it. I was a used product.
Just saying...it's not really useful info :)

I'm sort of a perfectionist when it comes to my laptops and this one is as close as I have gotten to perfect. I bought mine used and I was surprised by the immaculate condition it came in with only a very slight scratch on the lid. I got mine for $1850.00 from B&H Photo. I am selling the hard drives and extra RAM I don't need since I already had an Intel 520 GB from my last computer and bought some 1600 MHz RAM from Micro center. Hopefully that will cushion the cost of this beast. There are two on Ebay if you search "Asus Lamborghini". Take a look at that one if you are still interested. This is also the most solid-built PC I have ever owned.

I will probably get a g74sx since I value the extra screen estate and I can get it for lower the price of a lamborghini.

I own one and was wondering if anyone was only getting a core speed of 798.18 MHz and any ideas on how to increase it if at all.

I have just ordered one of these and was just wondering how much has everybody else paid for it. Will give an idea on how is it priced in different countries. My specifications are CPU
    Intel Core i7-2670QM (4C, 2.20GHz, Turbo Boost to 3.10GHz)
    RAM 16GB
    Hard Drive 1.5TB (2x 750GB 7200rpm)
    Screen Size 15.6"
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 3GB
    Resolution 1920x1080
OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

    I paid $1298 for it.
