    Hi Guys,

I was trying to find an appropriate post about that, but did not find anything that would answer my questions in full.

Basically, I have disassembled it, cleaned it up and repaste it twice already. What is weird, when compared e.g. with my previous G73 is the weird stuff that I have found under the heatsink. In G73 the paste was on cores for both CPU and GPU and the thermal pads covered the chips. Here, to my surprise, there was some blue crap that looked like a melted down thermal pad.

So I did the following - I put the paste as usual on the cores and put the 0.5 mm thermal pads on the rest.

I am getting quite good idle temps (CPU ca. 40*C and GPU ca. 35*C) but the CPU hits around 80*C just after I run any game. I wasn't checking the temps before, but I can tell that it wasn't getting that hot.

    Any suggestions here?

    Thanks!

Lift the back of the laptop using a stand for effective airflow.

Hi, I am actually using a logitech n700 stand - it does not make any difference with our without it. My question was more about how did other people reapply the paste and/or the thermal pads, what thickness etc.

    Thanks!

Did really nobody do the repaste of this model and can share some feedback?
