I'm thinking of adding my g73 to my compartment of f@h dedicated machines.

I've never turned a laptop into a f@h botnet though and am worried about the repercussions of leaving it on for, say, 2-4 weeks straight with no reboots.

    has anyone attempted anything similar?

Put the laptop in the fridge when folding :)
I'm thinking it should be ok as long as the temperatures are within normal limits.

Here. Basically you can choose to have your computer being used along with many other computers to create a super computer for research.
