I've had my Asus G55 for about 3 days and I noticed a keyboard lag? I've uninstalled the touchpad driver and the keyboard driver already but its still quite delayed :/ Is there a way to fix this?

    It just lags overall...

Could be model related it has been known for there to be key stroke lags with Asus models.

You have done the right thing however to rule out issues uninstall the keyboard and synaptics drivers and also the ATK package if you have one on this model.

It maybe that it requires a BIOS update however and as the model is new will probably be released shortly if it is common.

Thanks, but if I removed the atk package I don't think the backlit keyboard would work anymore.. This is a really annoying problem.

    Yes, you do.

ATK is an extra layer of software to make the fn key combos work, you need the keyboard driver for the keyboard to work in the first place. You might want to check for the keyboard filter driver too.
