    windows vista replaced OS X partition??

    Ouchh I already had windows vista 32 bits installed on boot camp, but I decided to install vista 64bits with a little bit more space... but... it seems like this new vista installation replaced MAC OS X :confused: now I have to reinstall MAC OS X, but tell me, to install OS X do you have to boot from cd or you just double click on disc when you're on windows?

    Have you tried holding down the option key on the keyboard when powering on your Mac? That should display the boot menu, allowing you to choose to load up OSX or Vista. By default, when you use Boot Camp to setup Vista, it automatically makes Windows the default operating system to load on startup.

    yes, I've tried that, and it only shows windows :S
    I have to reinstall OS X but when I insert the MAC OS X installation disc on windows, it says "Remote Installation disc of MAC OS X", like if I have the macbook air...

    Ok, I read that you must restart the computer while holding down the "C" key, then you can select where do you want to install the Mac OS X, but the problem is that I can only see the windows partition (windows 35Gb) not the main of 215Gb... What can I do? (EDIT: problem solved with disk utility)

    What's the difference between the formats Mac OS extended (journaled) and Mac OS extended? what's the format by default?

    Journaled is basically "indexing" I belive. This helps spotlight work really well. Journaled is the default

    Install bootcamp manager on the bootcamp parition first, use it to select MAC OS X as the default boot partition and restart to apply......from now on, if you want to enter your bootcamp partition when you boot up, hold on ALT button at bootup.

    Thanks to all, everything is fixed now :) but I had to re-install mac os X and vista :S took a while though.

    It is not good that you went through a bit of an ordeal to get Boot Camp to work properly. But, that's what you get with a beta product. Apple won't provide full support for it because they are in the business of selling OSX.
