Probably soon, like a few days after the announcement, if the product is available right away :).

And I don't want to be a "party pooper" ;), but keep in mind that nothing is confirmed yet. There could be a new Mac or more than just one, or there might not be any new Mac at all. Nothing is confirmed, so be prepared to be disappointed, just in case!

Well, the iPhone was rumoured for years, and was only announced last year, so while I am expecting it, I'm just reminding you and everyone not to automatically assume it will be released :).

That's a good attitude to have. I might be getting a Macbook Pro next week, so I really want them to update it. I have a feeling that won't happen until Spring though.

    Don't forget the G5 PowerBook!

I remember with CompUSA, it would take them weeks to stock the new Apple Hardware. And as far as Best Buy goes, I can't remember how long it took them to get the new iMacs here, but they still do not have the new keyboards.

I'm going to be really disappointed if they don't have a new product.
I think it's reasonable to expect a 12" unit out. It's not like this is a new market segment to Apple or anything, they've had 12" Powerbooks before.

The only other thing I could see them announcing at the event is the tablet, but a 12" is much more likely. We'll see though. It is possible there won't really be anything new, or if they do announce a new product, it won't be available till spring.

If they release an (non-touch) ultraportable, I'm guessing it'll have a 13" display.

I'm rooting for a 14.1'' display... it give's Apple a bit more space to fit stuff in, plus the screen size is balanced between the 15.4'' and 13.3''. It could be dubbed the "MacBook Extreme Edition".

Sounds like third-party Apple resellers in Canada! They don't get new Apple products for so long!

Still waiting for the Apple Store to open in Vancouver, stated for this spring!

but dont be suprised if their overpriced. i just looked at some networking cables on worstbuys site. it was like $30 for a 50 foot ethernet cable compared to like $5 to an ethernet from newegg. i hope im missing something.

I think a 12.1 would be a great size... it is what I got on my new ASUS... and I love it... Its sooo compact... (except the bad battery life)... but other then that.. its a kick ass size... I STILL LOVE MY MAC MORE !!! ... and for the PC side... nothing has been better than my asus... best size EVER!!
