What is the actually the reason that an iPhone is usually more expensive than an iPad?
I mean the price range, you can get the recently released iPad at a price much cheaper than
an iPhone. What is the reason?
Is it just because people like smaller devices? Any other advantage of an iPhone?

iPhone is also a phone, with cellular data. Cheaper iPads are WiFi only, iPads with cellular are more expensive.

The technology inside of an Iphone is far superior or cutting edge as compared to an Ipad. The only thing that's cutting edge in an ipad is the screen and even then it doesn't compare to an Iphone X. Making things smaller isn't an easy task, you need to look at things from a cost perspective. The cost of design of an Iphone X would easily surpass the cost of an Ipad.

As stated already multiple times, adding the parts needed to connect to phone networks, as well as shrinking the entire package down to the size of a phone, costs money to do. A tablet is simpler to make than a phone, hence cheaper.
You'll notice that this is the same with Android phones vs Android tablets. -
I seem to recall the original iPhone, which I had, being significantly smaller than the current offerings, save the SE. I suspect a nice chunk of it is good old supply and demand. A lot of people feel the iPhone is worth the cost, so are willing to pony up while tablet sales have tanked as have prices.

Ok. Here is the REAL reason the iPhone is more expensive. THEY SELL MORE! People will buy them regardless of price. Simple business practices. My ipad 128gb LTE has pretty well the internals as the iPhone 7 however, the iPhone 7 is still more expensive here to buy outright. Why? Because people will buy more iphones so they will make more money!

Maybe you mean that people are willing to buy an iPhone at $X instead?saturnotaku likes this. -
NO...I mean more people buy iphones than Ipads. More people are willing to pay more for the iPhone...therefore the iPhone is a higher price. It's simple business economics. In this instance, Supply and demand have nothing to do with it since you are comparing two different products. If you increase the supply of iphones, they will still be more expensive and sell more than the ipad.
