    what's wrong with iSight?

    why doesnt the built-in iSight doesnt work with msn messenger whether it was on Mac OSX or Windows xp. is it a driver's problem?

    and how could u solve it?

    You need to register a Jabber account and set it up in iChat.

    and then would it work with MSN messenger? .. i mean through the original version.

    will iSight work if ur using windows on a macbook?


    one last Q. what are the programmes that any Webcam can work with, but not iSight.

    (MSN messenger is one that i know of. what about skype? yahoo messenger? paltalk?)

    My mistake. I just tried video chat through Jabber and when I used MSN transport it dropped me. Apparently doesn't work after all, only for text chat. Sorry about the confusion. :eek:

    Skype is a small program that allows for internet calling, but nothing fancy like video interaction.

    The iSight camera works for MSN while you use Window XP

    What everyone seems to be dancing around is that video chat does not work for MSN on OS X. Hopefully this will eventually change, but as far as I know the only video chats available on OS X is iChat-iChat and Skype beta. The current version of Skype does not do video, you have to use the new beta.

    Mercury Messenger is reported to support video sight under MSN, give it a try.

    I know Boot Camp will work, and I do not see why Parallels would not.
