why doesnt the built-in iSight doesnt work with msn messenger whether it was on Mac OSX or Windows xp. is it a driver's problem?
and how could u solve it?
-
You need to register a Jabber account and set it up in iChat.
-
and then would it work with MSN messenger? .. i mean through the original version.
will iSight work if ur using windows on a macbook?
one last Q. what are the programmes that any Webcam can work with, but not iSight.
(MSN messenger is one that i know of. what about skype? yahoo messenger? paltalk?) -
My mistake. I just tried video chat through Jabber and when I used MSN transport it dropped me. Apparently doesn't work after all, only for text chat. Sorry about the confusion.
-
Skype is a small program that allows for internet calling, but nothing fancy like video interaction.
-
The iSight camera works for MSN while you use Window XP
-
What everyone seems to be dancing around is that video chat does not work for MSN on OS X. Hopefully this will eventually change, but as far as I know the only video chats available on OS X is iChat-iChat and Skype beta. The current version of Skype does not do video, you have to use the new beta.
-
Hopefully we'll see adium supporting video chat soon as well.
-
Mercury Messenger is reported to support video sight under MSN, give it a try.
-
Does it support Msn under Bootcamp or Parallels?
-
I know Boot Camp will work, and I do not see why Parallels would not.
what's wrong with iSight?
