    I would hope that by the time they run out of names, they'd be out of the market (same with Microsoft and all the current PC vendors), and that new players would have entered and taken over the market for the next generation of technology, which hopefully is nothing like the current computers.

    Then again, by then, it's still an open question if thing would be different enough to the current status quo to make it a moot question.

    After Cats - Apple is going to use bears for their next release [polar, grizzly, etc], I read this some time ago - leopard would be the last one in Cat series.

    if leopard was the last, that would make sense. seeing as how it's 10.5. starting a new at 10.6 would make sense. or, maybe after leopard theyll go to OS XI (as if, but its still nice to think about).

    They won't go to OS XI until after 10.9, because then it's 11. They wouldn't change over on 10.5.

    The next OS is not for sure going to be OS XI...they have OS X Puma trademarked already.

    And to NeedALaptop07, OS X will not necessarily end at 10.9 either. They could do OS 10.11, for all they care, as long as they like to keep the OS X name.
