    Well, no week is going to be perfect. Week 37 was the worst, and since then its been good. No run will have no defects, and unfortunately you got one of those defects.

    Every week since Week 37 has been good, so I wouldn't worry about it.

    Anyway, Johnny, the fourth and fifth number in your serial number is the week. So mine's is a Week 45.

    I had a bad one, don't know what week it was, but Apple replaced it within a week of when I whined about the problem (it would not turn off). Been very happy with the new one, and use it more for web browsing and mail than music. Go figure!

    does the mail app that Apple recently released connect to email services from Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo?

    I think GMail and Yahoo, but not Hotmail as it doesn't support IMAP or POP3...I'm not sure.
