    i hear the camera is not very good but the phone does look nice in real life.

    What do you think? is it worth the money? we dont live in usa anymore so we find ourselves victim of australian greed.

    they are charging for almost $1000 for the iphone when they are only $200 or more in USA.

    Is it worth me getting ripped off by Australians?

    What are my options? buy it direct from USA then jail break it?

    Not worth it for that much. The iPhone 3g's software is actually quite slow and buggy, especially with Safari. I say wait until the software problems are fixed if you are going to be be dishing out that much.

    Simply for 1K no it is not worth it.
    It is a fun phone to use, but to be honest if mine was not provided by my company i would not have gotten one. I would have stuck with my Sony Ericsson.
    There are some great features, but for the most part unless you need mobile email where ever you go, grab an Ipod touch and then a regular cell phone and your good to go.

    I think you just like talking about money a little too much...between the Macbook Air for an 8 year old and a $1000 iphone, it seems like you're just seeking attention.
