    weird sound coming when in xp

    I installed xp couple of weeks back and I used it on and off but since last couple of days, when I boot into xp – I hear a weird sound [very low] like a bird chirping or like when cell phone’s battery is drained. It’s a very low sound and its not coming through speakers. It comes every 2-3 seconds – I don’t know what the deal is – anyone ever experienced something like this [my signature has my machine info].
