    Hey,

Maybe someone can provide insight. I have a 1 year old Macbook Pro and when I unplug the power cord, the battery indicator will show that the battery is on a full charge but for some reason the computer will read it as low battery power adn tell me "the computer is on reserve battery power" and wants me to plug it in again. After about 10 minutes my Mac will shut off, even with the battery indicator showing full charge.

Anyone know why it's doing this how i might be able to fix it?

    Hi.

It sounds like your battery is dead or dying and the battery monitor chip inside the battery is giving you notebook the wrong runtime.

I dont think it is fixable.

Do you use your notebook a lot on battery , as you should get at least 18months out of a battery unless your really hammer it.

    Regards

    John.

the laptop's about 14 months old and it got a decent amount of battery use. What's weird about it is it was not a gradual thing. It went from giving me about 3 hours of life to 10 minutes. Similar to what happened to ym sager notebook, which just stopped charging and i went from 100 percent to unusable in about a day or two.
