    warrenty question

    hi
    i want to purchase a macbook from a mate of mine who doesnt have the reciept for it. Its the cheapest macbook. 13.3 1.86 ghz 60gb 512 mb ram and so on. So since it is brand new will the warrenty still cover me or do i have to pay extra? i live in the uk btw.

    Your friend will have to contact AppleCare and have the Warranty transferred to you if he sells it to you first off, and as for the reciept, I'm not sure what will happen there. It's something your friend will have to ask while he's talking to AppleCare.

    does the basic macbook come with apple care?? his one cost £749 from the apple uk store

    Every notebook comes with a 1 year standard warranty, you can purchase addiontal warranty time from AppleCare before your initial 1 year runs out.

    its just a question if he bought APP as well or not.

    i dont think he purchased apple care so does he still need to tell apple about changing the name to mine??

    If you want that warranty he does on have it to be transferred to you, than yes.
