The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    voice on messenger clients?

    Sorry if this has been asked before, but as you might be aware, the search function is down.

    I have adium, mercury messenger, amsn, and none of them have the option for voice chat.

    What other clients are out there that allow voice chats?

    yahoo and skype both work fine for me.

    hmmm, maybe I should've mentioned this: a windows live/msn client that I can sign in with my hotmail account.

    There is none that I know off.

    Microsoft messenger (for mac) is supposed to get video and audio chat soon. It is waiting for the windows version to upgrade and make it compatible to a new system that mac already has. Something like that.

    I use vmware fusion, win xp and Windows live messenger for windows. Works. MSN and video/audio chat in general is badly supported for mac. iChat works great but is very limited to AOL and Mac users (no body I know has that).
