Umm...I'm not really understanding you...you're downloading VMware/Parallels through BitTorrent? The trial? If you're just downloading the trial, you can get it directly from their websites...

You couldn't possibly be thinking of pirating the software.

Or at least you shouldn't be so stupid as to announce it on this forum.

It sounds like you're talking about piracy (neither VMware nor Parallels distribute their software through bittorrent as far as I've seen). If so, please know that talk of piracy is not allowed here.

Both VMware Fusion and Parallels are available as legitimate trials; there's absolutely no justifiable reason to pirate them just to see what works for you.

Download the trials of both, see which works for you, and then support VMware or Parallels and buy the software.

It also sounds like you're talking about pirating Windows itself ("downloading" it?).

So seriously, no talk of piracy here.

You can certainly talk about the merits of Parallels Desktop and VMware Fusion though, just not pirating it.

Gotcha, sorry, didn't mean to accuse you of anything. It's just that the trials of both are available.

You might as well try out Fusion and Parallels Desktop though; in many ways, they can work in conjunction with Boot Camp.

Outside of games, it can come in handy to be able to run Windows apps inside of OS X without having to reboot into Windows.

Okay, sounds good, shortbusdrmoses. Well, if you don't need the features of Parallels and Fusion where you can run both OSes simultaneously, I don't see why you should get it...if your main purpose is to game in Windows I suggest you game in Boot Camp anyway. Gaming in Parallels/Fusion is much more resource consuming that gaming natively through Boot Camp.
