So recently I picked up a 13" MBP and I'm still kinda adjusting to it, but loving it so far.

I'll be going out of the country (volunteering in Taiwan) on Jul 2nd for a month and I need a sleeve so I can throw the thing in my backpack without having to worry about scratches and dents.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm looking for something that has like a "second skin" fit and is tailored for the MBP. A good example fo what I'm looking for is the booq Taipan. Hopefully it's not too expensive and either something I can pick up locally or is available in Taiwan as I'm not sure if I can get it shipped to me on time for my trip (I'm in Orange County, CA).

    Thanks

    not entirely sure...

you may not find anything for it yet... but I believe its the same exact dimensions as the Unibody Macbook 13" was... so sleeves made for that should work.... I think...

Yep, it should, you're totally right! The thing is, even the unibody Macbook is still generally "new" and there aren't a lot of sleeves that are custom fits for it - even the incase neoprene is still a fit for the old MB but a bit baggy for the new one (plus there are claims that the zipper scratches the aluminum).

(and thanks again for the MP3Tag! :D)

I HIGHLY recommend the 13" Incase neoprene sleeve. I have one for both my 13" uMB and my 15" uMBP. While I have yet to receive my 15" uMBP; the 13" uMB that my mom uses and lugs to campus everyday still looks brand new. The external casing has absolutely no scratches so there are no complaints with the case at all on this end. Some additional info: the sleeve has really soft fuzzy material inside that protects the casing. Also keep in mind that these sleeves were DESIGNED for Macbooks. They are a little pricey but totally worth it. I included some links for you as well for products that I recommend.

    1. ZAGG Invisible Shield for the 13" uMBP. Click HERE for the link.
    2. Incase neoprene sleeve for the 13" uMBP. Click HERE for the link.

Third recommendation for the InCase sleeve.

We use them for my aluMB and my wife's last-gen white MB as well.
