Is there a program like smc that lets you go under the apple minimum with fan speed?

I think you can just change the Fanspeed Curve in SMC to be level (same speed) at all temps.. Reduce base speed to it's minimum.. set minimum temp at it's extreme left.. max temp at it's extreme right..
This could be potentially catastrophic though. Keep a fire extinguisher handy

Now if you mean.. can I have my fan rotate at 500rpm because that's just how I roll?, I don't think that's electrically possible. Fans require a minimum voltage to operate. Until you reach it.. it simply won't turn. And they have physical minimums that they must turn at. 12volt fans need a minimum of 7volts typically for example. It's possible that the computer hardware just won't let you undervolt the fan.

IMHO, that would be very smart of apple to have done ( keeping the fans from being undervolted too far ). The last thing they need is warranty repairs because someone farged up their fan speed and fried their processor.

Why would you want to go that low? The computer gets hot enough as it is...

Not that I know of...and I wouldn't recommend it anyways. 1800 RPM is already a really low fan speed considering how hot the Macs get. So I wouldn't recommend bringing it down any lower.

No... you don't want to try 1000rpm.
    Hot...
Bumping the min fan speed from 1k to 2k was a great start to apples helping the cooling system in the MBP.
but I still like to keep mine at least 3k under any load.
