The rumor is next month (April).

I wouldn't wait. If your question was, "Will Apple release new Powerbooks with the release of Tiger?", which is the only reason I can think of for waiting, my guess would be no.

Apple has given people who buy their OS a 30 day window for free upgrades in the past. So if you bought a Powerbook now, you would get 10.3 with it, and would be eligible for a free upgrade to 10.4 if it was released by end of next month.

IF Apple maintains the same policy.. (not guaranteed..)
