200MHz in clock speed difference. Thats all. Heavy encoding and processor benchmarks are the only things that will work better.

Hey, thanks for the compliments! Always happy to help out :).

Anyways, the difference between 2.0 GHz and 2.2 GHz, is really, 0.2 GHz. Frankly, there is really minimal difference between the two; 2.2 GHz is faster but you won't notice a difference in everyday tasks. So I would not look at the processor speed as my factor between choosing the low-end and middle MacBook.

More importantly, choosing between the two should come down to Combo Drive vs. SuperDrive. Combo Drives can read and burn CDs and read DVDs, but can't burn DVDs. SuperDrives can.

The Combo Drive is on the low-end 2.0 GHz MacBook, and the SuperDrive is on the middle and high-end.

main reason i bought the 2.2 is because it came with a dvd burner (which i never use haha). it also came with a 120gb hd, which i had external plans for.

probably woulda just bought the baseline one if i did it again. the RAM and HD are maxxed out now anyways, and i use a faster Desktop DVD burner hooked up via FW400
