Will a black macbook heat up more than a white macbook? Does the new firmware update really reduce the temp of the macbook?
    please reply asap!

Well, unless you leave it in the sunlight, no it won't, lol. Perhaps the black Macbook, being faster than the base 1,83GHz white Macbook, will heat a bit more, but the temperatures seem to be about the same (an it is a mere 10% increase in clock speed). The SMC update did indeed reduce the temps for me and everyone else in this forum so far.

If it is still new and you can transfer the warranty and get a good price, I see no reason not to. Check the students discounts/free ipod and printer deals on a new macbook before you decide though.

Just make sure that there is nothing wrong with it, I'm not questioning your friends honesty but seeing how the Macbook is still a new notebook on the market it usually seems odd when someone is selling theirs so soon
However it could be multiple reasons such as fiancial reasons, but just make sure you look over it throughly, check that everything works and the temperture is fine. If they all appear good, then you should get a good deal.

Yeah, I would ask him why he is selling it lol, a pretty new thing like that and if everything looks good, seems werid. But if it all checks out man I would buy it right away, cus paying like 1100 w/o tax for a 1500 notebook is great, and you aren't paying tax!!!
