    strange blue shadow macbook pro screen

    just got my macbook pro 13 2010 a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that when the screen is dark or black or when watching movies there is like a blue shadows shining up at the bottom of my screen. its kinda annoying. i never had it on my previous notebook.

    is this normal? should i ask apple for a replacement?

    i made an appointment already.

    so am the only having this kind of screen.

    no your not, if you look in the Apple forums its not too uncommon, it is light bleed ( hot spots ) from the LED backlight bar at the bottom of the screen.

    oh I would call your screen defective for certain, just its not an uncommon defect

    I just got my new macbook pro 13 :) the screen is perfect now! no more excessive light bleed!
