Have had my comp for a little over a week. I was a first time mac user. So far all i can say is i have no plans to ever buy a pc laptop again. It makes me wonder why the pc companies don't take some notes and learn how to make a good laptop. I bought this computer more for the build design and battery life, then for the OS, but i now realize the osx is superior to windows. I thought i would have alot of trouble findign progs to fit my needs, but everything i do on a comp has a good program for osx.
For those thinking of switching, stop debating and buy a mac. ou just need an open mind.
I bought this macbook pro, because i had purchased a asus s96s that had a horrible high pitched noise when in idle. I returned the asus, and decided to try something new. I'm now so happy that the other comp had that problem.
This mbp runs vista better then the asus.

My only real problem to date is when i let the computer completely die and it goes into the sleep mode, i can't get it to come out of sleep, and when i turn it off with the button its takes multiple atempts to boot the computer back up.

Nice to hear that you're enjoying your MBP, myshkin :).

And as for your problem...I don't recommend draining the battery down that far :p. If you can, just shut down/sleep/start charging when it reaches about 20% charge or less.

Did you try conecting the machine to the adapter before waking it up?

I drain the battery in my MBP completely probably about once a month and then hook it back up to the charger. Takes a minute or so before it will fire up again. Are you letting you notebook charge up again at least a bit before trying to restart it? Hopefully, there's really nothing wrong with your machine, myskhin.

When it gets to that sleep when the battery is dead i plug in the adapter and try to bring it out of sleep. Nothing happens i've tried with adapter and without. It never comes awake. then i have to power down using the power button. Once its off it wont start backup. Its happened 3 times, an d it always takes different times. between 1 minute and 5 minutes to get it to turn on
