This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     sound icon keeps dissapearing

    i transferred contents from my last computer using Migration Assistant, but it's happened twice where the sound icon on the top menu dissapears (without me doing so, and noone else uses this computer). Any idea?

    Did you try rebuilding permissions? The last time I used the MA I had some items that would not load, rebuilding permissions fixed my problem.
