haha..dude im obsessed with keeping it BRAND NEW CLEAN. like, sometimes my gf touches it, and i get so bitter, especially when she touches the screen OMG! Anyways, go buy a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser ($3 USD for two of em) and get it a little wet and softly rub palmrests, screen bezel and any other part that is dirty (except screen) and you will be amazed at how well it works.

Stop cheating on your gf with your macbook :p

Please keep what goes on between you and your macbook behind bedroom doors private.

Although the machine is really durable, I've dropped the macbook approximately 3 times off my bed since I've owned it and it works just as good as before I dropped it. So kudos to that!

That cleaning it everyday thing will start to get less and less important to you. It's kind of like being really excited about your job for the first week and working as hard as you can, doing everything you can. After a few weeks the charm fades away and its a job.

yes yes, this is also what i thought. i remember, for my 17th birthday my dad bought me a Tag watch and from that day for about a month i would clean it every day and then place it back in the original packaging that it came with (a beautiful leather pouch) cause i was OBSESSED with it --- of course, that faded after a month and i just treated it like a normal watch.

but to be honest..my macbook is different haha. im absolutely OBSESSED with it...i highly doubt that i will let it go one day without atleast moderate cleaning based on the joy i get out of a clean notebook. wow, i start sounding creepier as i go on, but everything about my notebook intrigues me to an almost undesirable extent haha.

It'll pass. You'll see tech jump and old tech get obsolete, and Apple will refresh the MB, and then they'll introduce a new line and etc. etc, and suddenly you'll find yourself wanting a new gf/MB.

well actually, its funny you mention that taelrak - ever since i bought my MacBook, my gf suddenly has another love! She has since then, started saving up for an MB, but her being a less then tech-savvy girl, wants exactly what i have! (she even said this: "Once i save up enough money im going to get the EXACT same computer you have, same printer, same everything!" haha..this made me laugh, but has also led to a decieving plan.....) Im thinking about making a deal with her, where i'll sell her my MacBook for a very reasonable price (700-800) once a new MB comes out....think she'll go for it?

btw: she doesnt read apple news, doesnt go on their website, and is pretty uneducated when it comes to new technology. Hopefully my master plan will succeed!!

I am the same way about my computers too... i get anal whenever i am on a plan and worried i will scratch the mbp ... my brother was on the plan with me a few weeks ago, and he put his laptop in the pocket in front him... and it scratched his laptop, i thought he was going to be in tears...

we all paid a premium for the look of these laptops lets not forget that :)

Speaking of that, the MagSafe power cord has certainly saved me several times with my MacBook ;). If it wasn't for it, my MacBook would've probably been ruined a few months ago.

yeah sadly the reason it's fallen off the bed, well the largest part is I've fallen asleep while youtubing or surfing the net. and woken up with a crash in the night!

But yeah if it wasn't for the magsafe I guess I would have to double the bumps in the night! hehe

I wish more laptops came with cords like that. Not because i'm worried about tripping over it and my computer flying, but because the AC plugs can go faulty after a few years of use. Or if you have the cable bent an awkward way out of the computer.

I believe MagSafe is patented by Apple, or at least patent pending.

Then you should edit your B/S/T thread and state that you aren't planning to sell it anymore :D.
