    my warranty is about to run out, and seeing how apple support sucks I m not about to get applecare.
    is it possible to replace my regular LCD screen with a led LCD? I ve seen them for sale on ebay, so it must be possible. are the ones on ebay OEM?

    Yeah, that's what I was a little confused at. AppleCare is rather limiting in terms of not covering accidental damage and such, but Apple's customer service has always been famous for being very good...

    What experiences have you had that gave you that conclusion? My experience has been that they are great.

    I am sure you could probably change out the LCD but it would be costly and a pain. Take a look at ifixit for guides how to do it. There is also a site that will do it but I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head and I dont have my notebook with me. I'll look when I get home.
