I remove the battery on my MBP whe I use it with the AC adapter.
I hate to leave the bottom of my computer opened like that, though, does anyone know of any kind of battery cover?

i always do that, although I set my MBP on top of Antec notebook cooler so the battery hole can help ventilation.

i highly doubt there is a battery cover of any sorts, and honestly, when it really comes down to it, how much does it really hurt the battery to be plugged in all the time?

I think you just have to ask yourself if the slight loss of battery power over time, which will happen now matter what you do, is worth making your computer slightly more of a hassle to use how it was meant to be used.

Batteries don't like heat, especially when gaming.

well,.. it hurts the battery A LOT to leave it plugged in.
simple: on my old computer, an acer, its first battery lasted about a year. When i bought a second battery for it I decided to remove it each time I was using the computer for extended periods of time on AC power, and the battery was still alive and holding good charge after 3 years!..
so it does make a difference.

just got my MBP and i want to make sure the battery keeps maximum charge for when i m on trips, so i remove it when i keep my computer pluggedin.
