    Hi,
I know that this issue must have been discussed in length. I am not able to search through this forum for some reason (it doesnt show me that button) :( . Hence, I am posting a new thread. Please advice me on buying a new Macbook Pro case.

All recommendations are welcome. I am a student and hence would be needing to carry MBP to school :D .

I should have posted this in accessories..but nobody responded there :(

    Please help

    Thanks in advance,
    Mauvais.

i use STM Macbook Pro bag (the brink), to go with my MBP. very high quality, v. stylish looking, v. nicely designed, the only problem that i can think off for ur need is; the lack of space to put in your other books and equipment.. but, saying that, it is not a good idea to mix your books and your other equipment in soft bag, as it may cause some bulge that might damage the laptop.

Depends really on the type of case that will suit your needs.

I find myself taking my MBP with me on various types of trips requiring different luggage/carriers. For example, when I go to work I usually take a backpack. On short out-of-town trips I would typically use a lockable carry-on type of bag, and on longer trips I take a suitcase.

So for my needs I found that a good quality sleeve, that I can put the MBP in and then put that in any carrier I happen to be using for a particular trip, has given me the most flexibility and protection.

I tried 3-4 sleeves before settling on what I thought was the best one, but not the cheapest - Tucano Second Skin MBP sleeve. I highly recommend it if a sleeve is what you're looking for.

I don't really see the need for a case. I have a nice Samsonite laptop messenger bag. It's not perfectly snug but seems to be working well thus far.

Now to be fair, I don't commute daily. But I commute 1-2x a week, have been doing it for a couple of months now, and my laptop doesn't have a bit of wear on it. No scratches, no dents, no issues.

Just get a bag and you should be fine.

It's probably because no one here has this case. After all, for the 15" MBP the cases are only available in transparent red, purple and hot pink.
