purchased a macbook pro in september and returned it for a full refund. However i sent the perfect companion and back to school rebates that total in 280 dollars. Yesterday i received those rebates. Should i cash it out or are those rebates void?

An ethical dilemma, they shouldn't have sent you the rebate since it was returned but they did. I don't know, it would be pretty hard not to deposit that since you easily can and it wouldn't be void.

You can try, although, personally I wouldn't because you still don't own the notebook anymore - it would be against my own morals.

Well, if you're for sure going to buy it again, I'd go ahead and cash in on the rebate, otherwise I, personally, would not.

They are probably void. It wouldn't be too hard to put a stop payment.

well they would not have sent it if they already figured out i returend the goods. so i am guessing they are not void.

Hmm...that is a hard choice. Morally I wouldn't do it. On the other hand if you are planning on purchasing another apple product I would give it a try.

I would just be careful. After you deposit it, the may put a stop payment. What I am saying is you do not want to be in a situation where you spend that money. Although that is unlikely, the would probably just hold it until the check clears. Maybe take it to a check cashing place. I am glad this did not happen to me, I would have a hard time deciding. Good luck!
