    hey guys, i used my mate's uni internet in his room through ethernet cable. i didnt have problems the 1st time i connected it. but the 2nd time i tried connecting it after few days, it says connected, but wont open any sites. i tried doing the diagnostics test on my macbook. it shows green lights on '' ethernet, network settings and ISP'', but yellow lights for '' internet and server''

    it works properly on my mates laptop pc, but its jus the problem wid my mac.

    . go into Terminal
    . type "cat /etc/resolv.conf"
    . verify the IP address and the DNS server against the values found in your friend's system
    . or use "dig"
