It is something that popped for me after I installed the 1.8.1 patch for mountain lion.
When I run a game in window and open up safari or anything else for that matter and switch the safari to maximize window , everything works slow and computer is laging untill i take it off full screen back to window mode...
any idea what can cause this ?

10.8.1 you mean? or maybe 10.8.2? not sure what a 1.8.1 patch is.

People have been complaining about graphics and fullscreen problems with games running really slow ever since the 10.8.2 patch... its not just you.

    1. you cant update your RAM with firmware... but maybe you can update your firmware to handle more RAM?... but anyways I don't see what that has to do with the topic at hand when the user is not discussing RAM support at all, and doesn't even have the machine your talking about... you are totally off topic.

It seema that either reseting smc or reinstalling OS, solved the problem. However this is the second time in two days i had to reset my smc...

Some people think its related to Sleep, and possibly involving external drives as well...

some others think its due to the efi update, also a few people think its from the 10.8.2 update, while others think that its a ploy from apple dominate the world

I was saying that in regards to those updates... something testable. Sure it may have come in EFI or 10.8.2, but some people have said it only happens if they had the machine asleep since the last reboot... other say it only happens if they had used an external drive (not sure if still hooked up or not). From what I know these problems didn't exist for the same people before the last update... and since most people do all their updates at once, it could be in EFI, or the OS update.
