    hi. can anyone give a guess on how much the current notebooks from apple would drop once the mac intel chips come out?

    i think i might just get a cheap pc notebook (~$400) until the new powerbooks come out and then buy a cheap 14" G4 powerbook.

    what do you guys think??

    I don't think anyone knows that. I don't think it will be severe though, since Apple doesn't tend to carry a lot of stock.

    I read (from somewhere.. I don't remember) that Apple is dropping about $200 on iBooks to compete with cheap pc notebooks...
    This is independent from the release of macs with intel processors, I think.
