    Hi, I just bought a U.S.A. G4 powerbook but cant fit the adaptor into my plug socket! Is it safe to just put a cable with a U.K. plug on it into the adaptor or do I need to check voltage and wattage? If so how?

    Yes, it's safe to use PowerBook power supply adapter in UK's 240v voltage plugs. The power adapter will automatically switch from USA 100V to 240V AC you have at home. All you need is is a cheap adapter to switch USA pins to European standard two rounded pin setup.
