Hi, i started using nTune because AtiTool is not compatible with my drivers/ Vista 32, and i don't understand riva. nTune puts my stock speeds at 375 core/ 502 memory, which can't be right because i think i read for this computer they were 400/ 600 ish.
Does anyone know the real figures, and if the 180.43 drivers are worth it? I still only get about 20 fps on crysis warhead at 420 / 600 and about 25 fps at 520/ 750 overlclock all at mainstream at 1280 x 800. Is it wishful thinking to expect more than that with this machine? Far cry 2 is 24 fps at 1440 x 900 all medium.
Any tips on how to get my core speeds back, because ntune has stuck them at that very low setting.

Also, has anyone else with this same set up found a comfortable overlock that gives a significant boost with comfortable temperatures (for a macbook pro at least).

    MacBook Pro 2.5ghz penryn, 2gb ddr2 667mhz, geforce 8600m gt 512 gddr3, FW 180.43, Vista 32

How much Frames per second increase does that amount to?

I need to improve my frames per second to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in its full glory and am thinking about overclocking but may pass on that if it is a big performance increase. Sorry.. i'm not too familiar with the 3dmark settings I have never used it myself.

I am currently using the 179 series beta notebook drivers from nvidia.com .

Is the 162.18 driver still the best as I can see some of these posts were from last year.

    Thanks!! :)

My default core speeds seem to be exactly the same when i access them via the control panel under clock frequency settings. Did you ever find a good level to set them at that does not overheat and also improves your frames per second by a noticable amount?

I am also curious since I believe bootcamp is now in it's final or soon to be final stages, if the nvidia driver that is installed with bootcamp is superior to the laptopvideo2go drivers and/or the notebook drivers on the nvidia website.

    Has anyone tested this?
